A little bit about me:

I’m a painter and art teacher residing in beautiful Elkader, Iowa with my family. The process of creating is really where I feel most challenged and also, fulfilled. I enjoy finding the balance between texture, pattern, and color within my abstract paintings and I enjoy drawing my inspirations from the world around me. In addition to abstracts, I love to paint botanicals, landscapes, florals, and portraits of motherhood.

I graduated with a BFA in painting and drawing, along with obtaining my K-12 degree in Art Education from The University of Norther Iowa in Cedar Falls. I currently teach elementary art, as well as the extended learning program at North Fayette Valley Community Schools. I’m a proud member at The Collective in Elkader, where I enjoy teaching painting classes to children and adults during the winter season.
